My ex helped destroy my credit by stealing my money from my accounts among other things. How do I fix my credit enough to buy a house?

Sorry to hear about your situation. Sounds terrible. I actually messed up my credit a while back and just recently started working with a credit repair company to get it fixed. So far I have been working with Unified Credit Services for about 2 months and about half of my credit has been cleaned up. At this rate, I hope to have my entire credit cleaned up within the next few months. My score has already gone up a good amount, and I presume after the rest of it gets cleaned up, it will get even better. After getting my entire report cleaned up, have talked to a credit counselor from that company, and the plan is for me to get a good credit card to start rebuilding my credit. I’ll leave a link in the source box below so you can read up on how the process works.

Start by getting a copy of your credit report to see how bad it is, go to monitorbankrates.com/credit-cards, there is a posting on how to get your credit report for free without signing up for anything.

If you have $2000 in a savings account, convert it into a secured loan at the bank for 24 months and pay it back in 12.
