Let’s say you made one of those big no-no credit mistakes. You went out of town on vacation for a week, came back home and realized you totally forgot to pay your credit card bill. It happens all of the time.
Did you just review your credit report and notice that they are all a bit different. One may have a credit card that you’ve had in good standing for several years, where the other may not list the account at all. That’s a problem, as a good credit history affects your credit score in a positive way. Unfortunately, this is not at all uncommon.
There are a lot of companies and “professionals” giving their advice on how to improve your credit score, but take it with a grain of salt. Some of these people do not actually know what they are talking about and are giving bad advice – advice that can hurt you.
If you’re thinking about getting some outside help by way of credit counselors and don’t know anything about them, the following tips may help you understand what consumer credit counseling services are all about and what to beware. Basically, counselors can help you get control of your money flow – incoming and outgoing.
While it goes without sayiing that good credit is something everyone should have, many people are mystified by what the term ‘good credit’ actually means.
Your credit report contains vital information that affects your credit score. Every time you take up a loan or apply for credit, your lenders will access your credits report to see if you qualify for the it. Thus it is imperative that you constantly monitor your credit report to make sure it is in good health.

Before I being telling you a very small portion of my recent incidents, allow me to share my belief. I am not a religious person, although I attend churches, temple and used to go to mosques (years ago). However, I believe in God. Everyday, my trust in Him increases. In simple words, there is not a day that I loudly do not announce, “God I Love you and my life is yours.” “God you gave me life and my existence. Every breath that I take, every move that I make, everything that I eat or drink and so much more, is either because you allow me to do so, you provide for me or you make it happen.” It is all because I have seen Hell and life both in the past fifteen (15) years (BEYOND YOUR BELIEF). I believe in a few old sayings: “Love one another”, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” “Think right, do right and talk right.” I also believe in the sayings: “Knowledge is wealth,” “More is lost by indecision than by bad decision”, “Ask and you shall receive,” and “Tomorrow is not promised to anyone.” I use this last one sensibly and carefully as some people misunderstand its true meaning.
No one has to pay for credit repair. There is nothing that a credit repair company can do that you can’t do yourself. The following text is a copy of the disclosure required under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA). No one should be paying for credit repair.
If you have ever had credit cards, paid a bill monthly, or obtained a loan, you have a credit rating. When you make payments to a creditor, they report these payments to credit reporting agencies that compile your credit report and track your credit history. If you miss a payment, or even worse, your debt gets sent to a collection agent, this affects your credit rating negatively, and may prevent you from obtaining more lines of credit when you need them in the future.
